This page lists the cookies and similar technologies this website uses. It is the detailed companion to the Privacy Policy, which explains what we do with information generally.
Nothing tracking loads until you say yes
On your first visit you are asked whether analytics may run. Until you accept, no analytics script is downloaded and no analytics cookie is set. Choosing “Necessary Only” keeps it that way.
This is not a banner shown over trackers that are already running. The vendors below are loaded from a single place in the site's code, and only after a decision to accept has been read or made.
Declining does not limit the site. Every page, and the estimate request itself, works exactly the same either way.
Strictly necessary storage
One item is stored regardless of your choice, because it is what records the choice itself. It is not a cookie and it is never sent to a server.
| Name | Type | Set by | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|---|
bluegridConsent |
Local storage | This website | Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, and which version of this policy you decided under, so you are not asked on every page. | Stays until you clear your browser data or change your choice |
Analytics cookies — only after you accept
If you accept analytics, two measurement tools load and may set the cookies below. Both are used to understand how the site is used so it can be improved. Neither is used for advertising, and the details you type into the estimate form are deliberately kept out of both.
Durations are the defaults published by each vendor. The vendor sets them, not this website, and they can change them.
| Name | Type | Set by | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|---|
_ga |
First-party cookie | Google Analytics 4 | Distinguishes one browser from another so repeat visits are not counted as new people. | Typically 2 years |
_ga_<measurement id> |
First-party cookie | Google Analytics 4 | Keeps the state of the current visit for this specific site property. | Typically 2 years |
_gid |
First-party cookie | Google Analytics | Distinguishes browsers over a short window. Cleared by this site if you withdraw consent. | Typically 24 hours |
_clck |
First-party cookie | Microsoft Clarity | Keeps a Clarity identifier for this browser so activity from the same visitor is grouped. | Typically 1 year |
_clsk |
First-party cookie | Microsoft Clarity | Groups the page views of a single visit into one session. | Typically 1 day |
CLID |
Third-party cookie | Microsoft Clarity (clarity.ms) | Identifies the browser to Clarity's own domain. Because it is set on clarity.ms rather than on this site, we cannot delete it from here — see below. | Typically 1 year |
Changing your mind
You can change your choice at any time. Use the button below, or the Cookie Settings link in the footer of any page on this site.
Withdrawing consent clears the first-party analytics cookies already set and reloads the page so collection stops immediately. The CLID cookie in the table above belongs to Clarity's own domain and cannot be removed by this site — reloading stops it being refreshed, and your browser settings or Clarity's own opt-out can clear it.
Controlling cookies in your browser
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, and you can do that independently of the choice you make here. Blocking cookies entirely will not stop this site working — the estimate request does not depend on them.
Google also publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics on every site that uses it.
What the vendors do with it
How Google and Microsoft handle the data they receive is governed by their own policies: the GOOGLE_Privacy Policy and the MICROSOFT_Privacy Policy.
Changes to this policy
If the cookies this site uses change materially, this page is updated and the stored record of your decision is invalidated, so you are asked again rather than being held to a choice you made about different terms.
